Besides farming, I have been very active in making crafts that I can sell. I sold several things at a craft fair last Christmas and now I have an Etsy.Com store. I make and sell organic dog treats, crayons and soap in different shapes like Lego, dinosaurs, butterflies and Geek shapes like star wars and Doctor Who. I also make fun soaps with toys or jewelry inside and some other hand made things.
Tomorrow is the Spring Festival in Warrenton. I wanted a booth but it was $170! So, I decided to take a bunch of samples of my stuff and give them out with my card. That way if they like my items they can buy full sized items from my etsy store. Let's hope it goes well.

Life... She is a Changing
I go so long without posting that I often have to sum up what had happened instead of updating day to day.
This has to change because I'm having a mid life crisis now that I'm looking at 40 soon. I've decided that I'm going to make a big change in my life and do something different.
I have not lost my love or my calling to farm but without my farm partner Colleen it is just not the same.
I hope to go back to farming someday but until then I've sold all the animals except the poultry and the pests...I mean pets. My kiddos and I are waiting for our passports to come in and then we are going to travel.
I've never been out of the states unless you count one very blurry night in mexico when I was in the Army... Which I don't.
In order to accomplish this I am selling my junk, our rather any extra items that I don't need. I am also going to the doctor 3 times a week for allergy shots and physical therapy for some of the things that ail me.
I'm going to try to blog a lot more and keep track of all the new and exciting and/or crazy things I plan on doing.
